I can tell you about a few.
Two of them are aimed at breaking this tension
between the even shrinking screen sizes necessary to put devices
on our bodies and our ability to interact with them.
What we observed was that there was a limit,
the human motor context of the only has a capacity to interact at.
And as the screen sizes get small,
it is increasingly difficult for us to do that.
This project captures the very fine gestures of the hand
and uses the hand itself as an interaction machanism with small devices.
And the other project
has sought to increase the surface area of the things we are interacting
with by weaving electronics into our clothes and fabrics.

you end up in a place where the science is not very interesting

今回は雑然とした言語アルゴリズムにAIを導入し、統一性
を持たせて高度化させようとする取組を紹介しています。
内容面から語訳を類推するなら、1つだけの意味では不十
分です。しかし、番組冒頭部分は目次や粗筋に当たる部分
であり、ザックリとした表現であっても問題ありません。
"ぶち壊す"と訳を入れたのは、そういった理由でしょう。

今回は半数近くが音声認識ミスによるものです。単語
ミスは仕方の無いことかもしれませんが、リスニングを
意識していれば類推出来た可能性の高い単語ばかりです。
例えば"Do"と"Don't"、"scholl"と"school"など、少し意識
していれば聞き取れていたかもしれません。平日は心理
的に余力が無いため、次回分からリスニングに意識を回
せる自信はありませんが、頭の片隅に置くことにします。

今回の放送で日本語和英辞書サイトに登録されていない
単語は"based out"、意味は"拠点として展開する"です。類
似した言葉に"based in"があります。こちらは"拠点とする"
の意味で辞書サイトに登録されています。ニュアンスの違
いなのか、場所を意識する文章に"based in"、活動の話に
及んだ文章には"based out"が使われているような気がしま
す。これ以上のことは何とも言えませんが、放送番組で使
用される単語のため、常用外の可能性があります。

ほんの数十秒で紹介されていた内容です。紙コップと
ペーパーの芯を使ったスピーカー作成方法を紹介してい

Jacquard・・・布とセンサーの合成物で認識範囲拡大
"HeavyRain"の"ARI"実物版のようです。現状は非接触操作
（soil）と認識範囲拡大(Jacquard)の話が番組で紹介され
ています。ひょっとすると、20年後にはARIが製品として
販売されるようになるかもしれません。感覚器官を司る性
能まで到達する可能性は低いものの、ヘッドセットと組み
合わせることで再現性や拡張性が高まることは間違いあり
ません。今後の続報に期待しましょう。
